Update on Albert Chan

posted Nov 17, 2012, 1:54 PM by Ed Jiang ‎(CCIC)‎
Praise the Lord! Since we gave you the news about Albert a few weeks ago, he has made tremendous progress. Not only did he open his eyes last week, he has also been moved to St. Luke in Cedar Rapids for rehabilitation this past Wednesday. Emily has given us a report on Albert's progress, saying that he's been able to sit up and exercising his right side. He has also been able to communicate with his wife Cora through writing. Please continue to pray for Albert and Cora. Be sure to sign up in the calendar below. There are still a few empty slots for the next couple of weeks.

Prayer Requests:
  • For Albert to continue to strengthen his right side and better at swallowing.
  • For Albert to regain the ability to speak. It seems that part of his brain suffered some trauma during the stroke.
  • For Albert to regain the ability to use the left side of his body.
  • For Albert to have perseverance in rehab. It's a very tiring process.
  • For Cora to be able to visit Albert more often. They live in Iowa City. St. Luke is farther than UIHC.
  • For patience, hope, and joy.
